Brand Shield
Know when someone is impersonating your business.
PixelPrivate monitors lookalike domains and suspicious websites that may be using your brand to mislead customers.
What it watches
Lookalike domains, fake sites and suspicious login pages
Lookalike domains
Typos, look-alike characters, extra words like login or billing, and alternative extensions.
Fake websites
Registered lookalikes that actually respond with a web page.
Suspicious login pages
Password fields and credential wording on domains resembling yours.
Evidence
Every threat shows its reasons
Each threat records the domain, first and last seen, status, DNS and certificate information, the reasons behind the risk rating, and a recommended action.
- Risk: low to critical. Confidence: high, medium or low.
- Statuses: new, investigating, confirmed suspicious, reported, removed, dismissed, monitoring
- Allow-list your own, partner and competitor domains
Respond
From detection to a clean report to the registrar
PixelPrivate never claims it can remove a website. It helps you decide what matters and gives you the facts to report abuse to the people who can act.
When you find an impersonator
- Capture evidence without interacting
- Identify the registrar and host
- Send an abuse report with the evidence
- Warn customers through your own channels
- Tighten DMARC and keep monitoring
Limitations: scores are automated similarity and risk indicators, not a legal determination that a website is fraudulent. See also what is a lookalike domain and how to detect a fake website.
Frequently asked questions
Can PixelPrivate take a fake website down?
No. Only the domain registrar, hosting provider or platform can do that. Brand Shield gives you the evidence and the guidance to report abuse to them.
Will it flag legitimate sites?
Sometimes. That is why every threat includes reasons, a risk level and a separate confidence level, and why you can dismiss, allow-list partners and mark your own domains. Dismissed threats do not re-alert unless the risk materially increases.
Does it interact with suspicious sites?
Only through a single passive, rate-limited retrieval of the public homepage by a hardened fetcher. It never submits forms, logs in or registers domains.
What are the limits?
It samples common lookalike patterns rather than every possible variant, Unicode look-alike coverage is limited, and screenshot comparison is not available yet. Results are automated indicators, not legal determinations.
