Brand protection check

Criminals register domains that look like yours — one letter off, with “login” appended, on a different extension — and use them to trick your customers. This check generates likely lookalikes of your domain, finds which are registered and live, and reviews what they show.

Only check domains you own. This takes up to a minute. PixelPrivate looks up DNS for likely variants and retrieves the public homepage of a few registered ones. It never registers or interacts with them.

What this checks

  • Character substitution, omission, duplication, transposition and keyboard-adjacent typos
  • Hyphenation, keyword combinations (login, support, secure, account, billing…) and alternative TLDs
  • DNS resolution, then a capped, passive homepage review of registered candidates
  • Signals: password fields, brand name in text, title and text similarity, credential wording

How to use it

  1. Enter your own domain.
  2. Review the registered candidates and the reasons for each risk rating.
  3. Create a free account to save the list, dismiss false positives and get alerts.

Methodology and limitations

Results are automated similarity and risk indicators, not a legal determination that a website is fraudulent. Many lookalikes are harmless (parked pages, unrelated businesses). PixelPrivate does not register or contact suspicious domains beyond a single passive page retrieval. Read the full security methodology.

Key terms

  • Lookalike domain — A lookalike domain is a domain name that closely resembles another, using typos, extra words, different extensions or visually similar characters, often to impersonate a brand..
  • Typosquatting — Typosquatting is registering domain names that are common misspellings or mistypings of a legitimate brand’s domain..
  • Phishing — Phishing is a fraud technique where attackers send messages or build websites that impersonate a trusted organization to trick people into revealing credentials, payment details or into installing malware..

Frequently asked questions

Does a flagged domain mean I am being attacked?

No. It means a registered domain resembles yours and shows some indicators. Review the evidence; PixelPrivate rates both risk and confidence.

Can PixelPrivate take the site down?

No. PixelPrivate can help you assemble evidence and draft reports to registrars and hosts, but only they can act.
