Platform / Attack Surface & Exposure

External attack surface management for companies without a security team

Enter your domain and PixelPrivate checks what the internet can see: DNS, certificates, HTTPS, security headers, cookies and public technology. Results are scored, ranked and explained in plain English. No agent, no cloud access, no sales call.

See your company the way an attacker does, without installing anything.

Who it is for

Built for teams without a security department

  • Owners and operators of 5 to 250 person companies who have a website, a domain and customers, but no one whose job is security.
  • Agencies and MSPs who need a fast, repeatable outside-in view of each client domain.
  • Finance and operations leads who keep being asked by customers and insurers, "how do you know your website is secure?"

Business outcomes

The business problem: you cannot protect what you cannot see

01

Fewer surprise outages

An expired certificate takes a storefront or login page offline with a browser warning. Every hour of that is lost revenue and support tickets. Certificate expiry is one of the cheapest problems to prevent and one of the most commonly missed.

02

Fewer lost deals

Buyers increasingly check a vendor’s public footprint before signing. Missing HTTPS redirects, absent security headers or an old TLS version are visible to a prospect’s security reviewer in seconds, and they slow or stall procurement.

03

A cleaner story for insurers

Cyber insurance applications ask about basic hygiene. A dated, shareable record of your external posture helps you answer accurately instead of guessing.

04

Less guesswork for non-experts

Every finding comes with a severity, a business-impact sentence and the exact change to make, so the person who looks after IT part-time can act on it.

What you get

Capabilities and where each one stands today

Every item carries a status. Available means it is built and working today. New means it is being added now. Roadmap means planned and not yet built.

AvailableNewRoadmap

External scan with 18 checks

Available

DNS and nameservers, HTTPS and redirects, certificate trust and expiry, TLS version, security headers, cookie flags, DNSSEC, CAA and public technology fingerprints, scored into a single PixelPrivate Security Score.

Prioritized, plain-English findings

Available

Findings are ranked by severity and confidence, with the reason it matters and the fix written for a non-specialist.

Grounded Copilot

Available

Ask follow-up questions about your own results. Answers are grounded in your scan data rather than generic advice.

Monitoring and email alerts

Available

Scheduled re-scans detect changes, such as a certificate nearing expiry or a header disappearing, and email you.

Shareable reports

Available

Send a clean, dated report to a customer, a board member, an insurer or a client.

14-day trial of monitoring

Available

Try scheduled scans and alerts on your own domain for 14 days with no card required.

Light cloud posture review

Roadmap

Read-only review of cloud account settings. Not built yet and would require you to connect an account.

Roadmap items are not available yet. They are shown so you can judge fit honestly. Nothing marked Roadmap should be read as a working feature, a certification or a detection capability.

How it works

How Attack Surface & Exposure works

  1. 1

    Enter your domain

Type the domain you actually use for your website and email. Nothing is installed and no credentials are requested.

  2. 2

We check what the internet can see

Eighteen non-intrusive checks run against your public DNS, certificates and website, using the same information any visitor or attacker can already reach.

  3. 3

    Get a scored, ranked report

You see a score, the issues in priority order, and why each one matters to the business.

  4. 4

    Fix, re-check and keep watching

Apply the change, re-scan to verify it, and let monitoring alert you if something regresses.

Honest limits

What Attack Surface & Exposure does not do

  • It does not exploit vulnerabilities, guess passwords or probe private systems. It is an outside-in view, not a penetration test.
  • It does not see inside your network, laptops or cloud accounts, so it cannot tell you what is misconfigured behind the firewall.
  • The score reflects the checks currently available. It is an indicator, not a guarantee or a complete assessment.
  • It does not change your DNS or website. You apply fixes; PixelPrivate verifies them.

Compared with enterprise tools

Large cloud security platforms build a continuous graph of workloads, identities and misconfigurations inside your cloud accounts, which suits companies with dedicated security engineers. PixelPrivate covers a different, smaller job: the outside-in view of your public domain and website, with no cloud access and no onboarding project. If you already run a cloud security platform, treat this as a quick external sanity check; if you do not, it is a practical first step.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install anything or give you access to my systems?

No. The scan only reads public information about your domain and website. There is no agent, no plugin and no credentials involved.

What exactly is checked?

Eighteen checks across DNS and nameservers, HTTPS and redirects, certificate trust and expiry, TLS version, security headers, cookie flags, DNSSEC, CAA, email authentication and public technology fingerprints. The methodology page lists scope and limits.

Is this the same as a penetration test?

No. A penetration test is a manual engagement where a person tries to break in. PixelPrivate is automated, continuous and non-intrusive, which makes it a good baseline between formal tests but not a replacement for one.

How often does it re-scan?

You can scan on demand at any time. During the 14-day trial and on paid plans, scheduled scans re-check automatically and send email alerts when something changes.

Will scanning cause load or trigger alarms on my site?

The checks are light, read-only requests similar to a normal visitor. They do not attempt exploitation or brute force.
