Privacy policy
Last updated: 2026-10-03. This policy describes how the product is built to behave; the operating entity must review it with qualified counsel before launch.
Data we collect
- Account data: email address and organization membership.
- Security data: domains you save, scan results, findings, alerts and remediation history.
- Anonymous scans: the domain scanned and the result, kept for 24 hours by default.
- Usage events: first-party, cookie-less product events (for example “scan completed”) without personal identifiers.
- Abuse-control data: salted hashes of IP addresses used for rate limiting and fraud prevention.
Why we use it
To provide the service, secure it, send transactional alerts you enabled, and understand product usage. Marketing email is separate and opt-in.
Retention
Anonymous results: 24 hours. Third-party lookalike evidence: 90 days by default. Account data: until you delete your account. These values are configurable by the operator.
Your rights
You can export or delete your data, delete individual domains and scans, and delete your account. Until self-service controls ship in the dashboard, email [contact address not yet configured — set SECURITY_CONTACT_EMAIL]. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We use service providers (hosting, database and authentication, bot protection, payments, email delivery, optional AI model provider) to run the service. Shareable report links reveal only what you choose to share and can be revoked.
Support chat
The chat button on every page lets anyone email our support team. If you are signed in on the free trial or a paid plan it also offers an AI assistant. Your question, the recent messages of the conversation, a short description of PixelPrivate and the passages of our own site that answer it are sent to an outside AI service, chosen and configured by us, only to word the reply. We do not store chat messages on our servers; the conversation stays in your browser tab and disappears when you close it. If you choose to email a person, the email address and message you type, and your recent chat messages, are sent to our support inbox and handled by our email provider. Do not type passwords or card numbers into the chat.
