Website security score
The PixelPrivate Security Score condenses many checks into one number you can track over time. It is our own indicator, with published weights, and every point is explainable: you can see exactly which findings cost you points.
What this checks
- Domain 15% · Email 20% · Website 25% · TLS 15% · Configuration 15% · Brand 10% (configurable weights)
- Severity and confidence both affect deductions: low-confidence findings cost less
- Buckets with no applicable checks are excluded rather than guessed
How to use it
- Run the check.
- See your score and breakdown.
- Fix the top items and rescan to watch it improve.
Methodology and limitations
It is not an industry standard score and not a complete security assessment. PixelPrivate performs passive checks against publicly visible configuration only. It does not test for exploitable vulnerabilities, so a clean result is not a guarantee of security. Read the full security methodology.
Key terms
- Security headers — Security headers are HTTP response headers that switch on browser protections, such as forcing HTTPS, restricting script sources, or stopping your pages being framed by other sites..
- DMARC — DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance) is a DNS record that tells receiving mail servers what to do with email that claims to be from your domain but fails SPF and DKIM checks..
Frequently asked questions
What is a good score?
75+ generally indicates the common basics are in place. Improvements matter more than the absolute number.
Can the score decrease without me changing anything?
Yes, for example when a certificate approaches expiry or a new lookalike domain appears. Monitoring explains each change.
